Are the animated tokens in the Kickstarter the same as the those offered in the preorder?
No, these are two different sets of tokens. The preorder animated tokens are a small number of alternate art tokens and unique animations. These are not the same as the animated tokens being offered in the Kickstarter itself.

If I pledge at a lower amount now, will I be able to update my pledge and rewards later in BackerKit?
Yes, you can. After the Kickstarter is over, you will be charged right away for the tier you selected. A few weeks later, you will be invited to the BackerKit pledge manager, where you will submit your shipping address, pay for shipping, and be allowed to add any “add-ons” to your pledge. You can also change your pledge level. We have allowed this option in BackerKit and turned it on for all backers.

5E species are usually very short. Why are yours so long?
Our 5E species are not just the basic presentation for a standard species from 5E. Instead, think of them as short books about the species that include the species’ key statistics and more information and options. We have plenty of additional lore to ground the species and help learn about characters of that species, plus subspecies, feats specific to that species, sometimes new weapons that the species likes to use, and (when applicable) brand new classes for that species so you can dive deeper into that species’s fantasy.

As long as you pledged during the first 48 hours and backed a tier of $99 or more, you will automatically have the limited edition hardcover added to your order. After the Kickstarter is over, you will get a link to BackerKit where you can select the edition of this hardcover, either 5E or Pathfinder 2e.

No, as long as you use the same email address to back the Kickstarter as the one you used for your VIP pre-order, you are all set! All free pre-order items will automatically be added to your pledge during the BackerKit stage, there is nothing you need to do!

If I pre-ordered Battlezoo Bestiary: Elemental Storm, do I get the animated tokens and digital maps for free?
Yes and no. You will need to back the animated tokens and digital maps listed in the Kickstarter if you wish to receive them. Instead, you will be receiving a new digital map with variants that are only offered to backers who pre-ordered the book. You will also receive alternate art animated tokens for a handful of monsters. Neither of these rewards are offered any other way and can only be obtained by pre-ordering the book.

How long is each book?
Currently, each book is approximately 100 pages in length. This might grow even larger depending on stretch goals. With 50 stretch goals, there is a very real possibility that each book will grow significantly longer.

How does this project work with the Pathfinder 2nd Edition Remaster?
Because Living Legends has many creatures from the OGL, it can’t reference materials that require the ORC license. However, we’ve ensured that the feats and material are balanced correctly for a campaign using Pathfinder Remaster. For 12 of the 14 ancestries, there’s at most a few names of spells and languages, and for angels and devils, you can change good and evil damage into spirit damage with the holy or unholy trait.

I already own the Year of Legends Foundry Module and I want to receive all the updates from Living Legends to my Foundry Module. Do I need to back the Living Legends at a tier that gives a Foundry Module?
No. As a thank you for supporting us all along, previous owners of the Foundry module who back any tier at $39 or more will receive the updated Living Legends Foundry module for free, without needing to back at a tier that includes Foundry or add it on to their pledge.

What is BackerKit?
BackerKit is a service that crowdfunded project creators use to keep track of hundreds to tens of thousands of backers—from shipping details, pledge levels, preferences and quantities, whether they have paid or had their card declined, special notes, and everything in between!

How does BackerKit work?
After the campaign ends, the project creator will send you an email with a unique link to your survey. You can check out a walkthrough of the process here.
I never received my invitation. How do I complete the survey?
The most common reasons for not receiving a survey email is that you may be checking an email inbox different from the email address you used to sign up with Kickstarter, Indiegogo or Tilt Pro account, or it may be caught in your spam filter.
Confirm that the email address you are searching matches the email address tied to your Kickstarter, Indiegogo, or Tilt Pro account. If that doesn’t work, then try checking your spam, junk or promotions folders. You can also search for "backerkit” in your inbox.
To resend the survey to yourself, visit the project page and input the email address associated with your Kickstarter, Indiegogo or Tilt Pro account.
How do I update my shipping address?
BackerKit allows you to update your shipping address until the shipping addresses are locked by the project creator. To update your address, go back to your BackerKit survey by inputting your email here.
When will my order be shipped, charged or locked?
That is handled directly by the project creator. BackerKit functions independently of the project itself, so we do not have control of their physical shipping timeline. If you want to check on the project’s status, we recommend reading over the project's updates page.
